UCF Art History Professor Dr. Margaret Zaho Presents: Art is an Endangered Species Part II

Legacy Pointe at UCF Auditorium

January 12 | 3:00 pm

Dr. Zaho is back with Part II: Art is an Endangered Species. This lecture explores the fragility of art through my personal motto “Art is an Endangered Species.” It emphasizes the need for awareness, respect, and preservation of cultural heritage. Through historical and contemporary examples from natural disasters, war, theft, vandalism, and neglect I discuss the numerous threats facing art across the globe. Ultimately, this lecture’s goal is to encourage a global attitude shift toward conservation and respect for art, regardless of its origin or form. Don’t miss this inspiring program that calls for greater respect and preservation of art in all its forms.
